How long does it take to renovate my basement?

A professional basement contractor should be able to renovate a basement within 4-6 weeks. Although this is a rough estimate, there are many variables that can affect this time.

Do I need a permit to renovate my basement?

Most Ontario guidelines specify when a basement renovation permit is needed and when it is not.

According to the City of Toronto, for example, a renovation permit is required only if the work involves:

How long will it take to pay off the basement?

This is dependent on the following: 1 size of your basment, selected materials, if you put money down and rental market in your area. Heres a n example.

We determine 2 bedroom apartment market price : $2000

Basment cost $60,000. (optional 12,000 down)

60,000 - 12000 = 48000/ 2000 = 24 months ( 2 years )

Prime would take the first 2 years of rent. Alternative split 80/20 profit share.
